Description
Take your DIY setup to the NEXT LEVEL by utilizing our brand new, extremely high output, QUASAR boards! These boards are also available on our PRO series Excalibur King fixtures.
We only use high-quality LED diodes from Seoul Semiconductor, they offer an incredible product at a great value that is the next rising star for horticulture LED technologies.
Our 2ft board has 353 diodes with a nominal power rating of 60 watts at 3.2 umol/J and our 4ft board with 706 diodes with a nominal power rating of 120w at 3.2 umol/J!
We are currently offering 2 different spectrums, both board lengths are available with either our UV Quasar Spectrum or our IR Quasar Spectrum.
Here is the breakdown for each combination:

Spectrum
Our Quasar boards offer an ideal static full spectrum channel, this is a scientific-based spectrum that is ideal for horticulture applications for every plant type. The reason for a static spectrum in the 400-700nm range is that we are leveraging new research in the UV (385nm) and IR (730nm). By manipulating these spectrums we can see a positive correlation with photosynthetic efficiency, final dry weight, increased oil production, and even higher nutrition levels for food production.
Phytochrome effect: This effect is responsible for the plant’s circadian rhythm, much like humans, plants have receptors that help them judge time by sensing certain wavelengths of light. This phenomenon is directly correlated with flowering in short-day plants, by supplementing wavelengths above 700nm, specifically in the 730nm range, to create a low PPE (Phytochrome photo equilibrium) in the vegetative state, growers can accelerate the flowering response in short-day crops. Precise control over PPE can affect the timing, quality, and quantity of the flowering response. When in the flowering stage, 730nm wavelengths can be supplemented before and after the photoperiod and have shown to decrease the time to harvest by upwards of 16%.
Emerson Effect: Supplementation of far-red light is shown to increase the photosynthetic efficiency of a plant but 20%. This additional light in the 730nm range helps balance the excitation of photosystem 2 in turn boosting the quantum yield of short-wavelength light. This effect is most notable in the 500 PPFD range, about 20% and higher PPFD levels show a 10 to 15% increase in final yield. The supplementation of Far-red over the plant’s lifespan also shows an increase in plant health compared to lights that do not emit far-red light.
UVA supplementation: By supplementing UVA, particularly in the 385nm range, this wavelength has shown to increase plant’s photosynthetic efficiency by 10 to 15%, similar to the Emerson effect, these assessorial wavelengths play a synergistic effect in how plants uptake carbon dioxide. The supplementation of this wavelength also shows promise in increasing terpene production, phenols, THC, CBD, and even vitamin concentrations. This short wavelength is also excellent at killing mold and powdery mildew.

Awesome lights! Super bright and efficient. My plants love the spectrum and power. Great canopy penetration and optional UV or IR. The dimmers really make a difference on these boards. I noticed a boost in growth in a week.
